Excellent tour for an initial taste of the city's highlights. We will begin with Santa Croce square, right in front of the Temple of the ItalianGlories and we will plunge into the century old history of the monuments andstreets that we will encounter along the way. We will go through the leatherdistrict, which housed many celebrities, among which Michelangelo and CarloLorenzini, and we will reach the elegant Signoria square. Here we will admirethe sculptures and Signoria palace, which has been the house of Florencepolitical power since its inauguration in 1301. We will then cross the Uffizigallery square, to admire the Ponte Vecchio bridge from a nice panoramic spot.We will touch the wild boar's (the Porcellino statue) nose for good luck, rightbefore getting to Repubblica square, heart of the Roman city. After all this magnificence,we will proceed through the immortal Duomo complex, which will be on the routeto the Accademia gallery. Finally yet importantly, we will enter the Accademiagallery where we will be able to admire, among other famous monuments, thetimeless statue of the David by Michelangelo.
